William, I came across your site from doing some research to find relatives. I am wondering if we are related? My father is Nicholas Yavelak as well and was born in Neffs, Ohio. I am 27 and currently live in Los Angeles. I would love to get n touch.

Nicholas - Yes. We're related.  I believe my Grandfather, William George Yavelak was your Grandfather's brother.  My father, William Michael is of course your father's cousin.  I can always be emailed at wyavelak@hotmail.com

Hi Bill! Looks like you have had some wonderful experiences over the past 15 years. Your wife is beautiful and congratulations on you coming bundle of joy. My husband, who was a Corpsman during Desert Storm, and I live in your neck of the woods, we're in Portland Oregon. Hope you're having a great summer!

Fantastic website Bill! Glad to see things have worked out very well for you. Our 15 year class reunion is coming up next month and I am helping Vicki Burghy collect information on everyone. Could you email me your contact information and if you don't mind contact information for Mike Sanders as well? Thanks and take care.

William, thank you for your interest in my teaching techniques and philosophy. Having looked at your art I am impressed by your drawing skills. Especially the figures which indicate your medical knowledge of anatomy. Great work! I hope and pray that by sharing of my experience with the exciting medium of watercolour will encourage you to apply the techniques to your future art projects, especially the figure work which I think is outstanding. Both Pat and I share your enthusiasm over CS Lewis's Narnia as we saw it recently. I am personally committed to a spiritual and prayer life and believe that good art is what happens when the eternal touches the heart of the temporal. The very best to you and your family in your service to your medicine, your country and your great art. I leave you with a quotation "watercolour painting is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration. God Bless, Jack Reid and Pat Carabine.

Bill, I can see that you plan on giving your father-in-law a run for his money when it comes to his Lattes. As for me, I got a chuckle out of the "Coffee" page. Gees who would ever of thought that there is such a science behind "Folgers". I want to take this opportunity to tell everyone who checks the journal how the wedding was from a "mom's" perspective. All it took was to see how Bill looks at Gina and her return look of adoring affection. I can't imagine that there could be a better suited couple. Love You Both and may God keep you in his grace........ Mom

Hello Bill, I don't know if you remember me or not. I work with your mother at St. C. We met once in her early years there when we were in the old building. She is so proud of you. She told me about your website, so I cruised for a short while. The pictures of you and Gina on your wedding are beautiful. I think the item that I was most taken back by was your piece of artwork that I am assuming is your dad with Patience as a reflection in the stream. If I am correct, how beautiful. I know how much she meant to your parents. Anyway, so much to be proud of here. I am glad I took time to visit. Heidi

I wish the two of you nothing but health and happiness together. The pictures certainly prove that you make quite a handsome couple. Best wishes always.

I truly enjoyed reading your journal and meeting your fiancé Gina. I wish both of you nothing but happiness. I especially enjoyed listening to your piano pieces. It sends me right back to our days in med school. If I put the headphones on, listen and close my eyes, I can almost hear the gurgling of your salt water tank, the smell of tea and you taking study breaks to play the piano to work on whatever ridiculously difficult piece you were trying to master. Your study breaks were always my favorite part of our study sessions.

CONGRATULATIONS! I heard that you popped the question and that my cousin got a very pretty ring. (And a pretty great guy...) <<this is where you sigh...awwww>> But, really, congrats, Bill. You've got yourself an amazing gal. But, of course, your already knew that. If you didn't, I probably wouldn't be writing this congratulatory note. Congrats!

My fellow Wardrobian, -- to whom I'm forever in debt for turning me on to the works of Mortimer J. Adler -- your site is excellent, thanks for giving me a link to it. I miss the old days doing battle side by side armed only with common sense (Realism), spell chek ;-), and a love for Christ. I hope you are doing well and staying safe. Blessings to you and your family... Your friend, Jesse (Kolbitar)

Hey Bill congrats on graduating. Wish I could have been over in Jax for the huge day! Best of luck to you in Japan. Very possible I could see you there in 1 year. Pensacola is treating me pretty well. Yes I was here for the hurricaine & got a pat on the back by the Surgeon General for manning the hospital when the backup generators failed (total blackout). Well best of luck to you!! Your old roomie- Josh
